Deer Creek Campground provides thirteen sites that may accommodate tents or RVs in the Pike National Forest. With no dump stations, power hookups, or water hookups, the sites are first-come, first-served. A large number of scattered campsites are also found along Deer Creek to the right of the park. You can reach the sites by travelling seven miles north on County Rd 43.
Fishing
It is possible to fly fish casually and catch trout of respectable size in parts of the North Fork of the South Platte River that are near Bailey. If you want to catch something, travel about 40 minutes southeast of the city to Wellington Lake. A number of different species of trout have been stocked in this tranquil, privately owned-alpine lake.

The Mt. Evans Wilderness features the popular and easy Deer Creek Trail. This walk offers many opportunities to view wildlife but carries layers because it reaches quite high altitudes. Every level of hiker can find a suitable route at Guanella Pass thanks to its variety.
