Supervising the District Energy Plant (DEP) and Satellite Plant systems for heating, cooling, and power generation, keeping track of the equipment\’s operational status for reports to the Lead Operator, and instructing new hires and lower-level Utility Plant Operator positions.
Operate Heating, Cooling, & Power Generation Equipment Utilize procedures, rules, and established engineering standards to operate and configure plant equipment at various locations to maintain the campus\’s utilities in a safe, dependable, and effective manner.
You should also be familiar with the plant\’s equipment and operating techniques. For out-of-the-ordinary situations that could endanger machinery, supplied utilities, the welfare of staff, or campus assets, make plans, solve problems, and take corrective action.
Monitor & Make Adjustments to Plant Equipment & Processes: To confirm that the plant systems are being operated correctly, perform routine checks and log equipment parameters at several locations.
